Terms & Conditions

Effective date: 19 August 2026. Last updated: 19 August 2026.

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Conneq (“Conneq”, “we”, “us” or “our”), a members-only platform that enables members to discover, advertise and communicate in relation to horses, equestrian-related goods, vehicles, services and other opportunities.

Please read these Terms carefully before applying for membership or using Conneq. They set out the terms on which you may access and use our platform and the responsibilities that apply to you as a member.

By submitting a “Request to Join” application, you will be asked to confirm that you have read, understood and agree to these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not submit an application or use Conneq.

Submitting an application does not guarantee membership. Membership is subject to our approval and may be granted or refused at our discretion. If your application is approved, your continued access to and use of Conneq will remain subject to these Terms and any other policies or guidelines that apply to the platform.

We may amend these Terms from time to time. Every time you wish to make use of the platform, please check these Terms to ensure you understand the terms which will apply at that time.

1. About Conneq

Conneq provides a platform through which members can create advertisements, communicate with other members and explore opportunities posted by members.

Conneq is not the seller, buyer, owner, supplier, employer, agent or contracting party in relation to any goods, horses, services, or other transactions advertised or arranged between members.

Any agreement or transaction between members is made directly between the members concerned.

2. Disclaimer

Conneq provides a platform for members to advertise and communicate. We do not guarantee information supplied by members.

This means Conneq accepts NO responsibility for the content, accuracy, legality or reliability of any advertisement, listing, message or other content posted by a member, whether or not it has been reviewed or approved by us. We are not responsible for the existence, condition, quality, safety or availability of anything advertised, or for a member's ability to complete any transaction.

Members should make their own enquiries and obtain appropriate professional advice before entering into arrangements with other members.

Nothing on Conneq constitutes veterinary, legal, financial, insurance, professional or other specialist advice unless expressly identified as such.

3. Membership

Conneq is a members-only platform, currently in its founding stage, with access granted through referrals and a selective application process. Submitting an application does not guarantee membership or access to the platform.

To apply for membership, you must provide accurate referral information where applicable. All applications are reviewed by the Conneq team, and membership is granted only upon approval. We reserve the right to decline any application, including those made through an existing member referral, without providing a reason.

During the founding stage, we will also accept applications from individuals who have not been referred by an existing member. These applications will be carefully reviewed by the Conneq team as part of our selective membership process.

We may accept, reject, suspend or terminate membership where we consider it reasonably necessary, including where:

Unless prohibited by law, we are not required to give advance notice before suspending or terminating an account where immediate action is reasonably necessary.

You must not allow another person to use your membership or account.

You are responsible for keeping your account information secure and for activity carried out through your account.

4. Eligibility

You must provide accurate information when applying for or using Conneq.

Conneq is only for people aged 18 or over. By applying for membership or using Conneq, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old.

We rely on this confirmation and do not independently verify your age. If we become aware that a member is under 18, we will suspend or terminate that membership immediately and may remove any associated content.

You must not create an account using another person's identity or provide information that you know to be false or misleading.

When referring a member, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you have the appropriate permission to provide another person's personal information to us. Failure to provide accurate referral information could result in your account being removed.

5. Fees and Payments

At the time of launch, members may create and publish listings on Conneq free of charge. We currently do not charge a fee for submitting or maintaining a listing.

We reserve the right to introduce fees or charges for listings. If we do so, we will provide members with reasonable notice of any applicable charges before they take effect.

Any fees that apply will be clearly communicated before you are asked to make a payment. Where required by law, you will be given the opportunity to review and agree to the applicable terms before completing a purchase or subscription.

Our Terms and Conditions may be updated from time to time to reflect any changes to our pricing, payment arrangements or services. The latest version of these Terms will be available on Conneq.

Unless otherwise stated, you will not be charged for a service simply because we subsequently introduce a fee for that service. Any new or increased charges will apply in accordance with the terms and notice provided at the time.

6. Advertisements

Members may post advertisements, listings and other content relating to horses, equestrian goods, equipment, livery, services and other permitted activities.

A listing does not become visible to other members until we have reviewed and approved it. We may decline to publish a listing, restrict or remove a listing at any time, without giving a reason. Our review is an administrative check only — it is not a verification of the listing's accuracy and does not amount to an endorsement.

We accept NO responsibility for the content, accuracy or completeness of any listing submitted by a member, and we do not guarantee the existence, condition, availability or legality of anything advertised on Conneq.

7. Your Responsibility for Content

By submitting, uploading or publishing any content on Conneq, including advertisements, photographs, descriptions, messages, reviews or other material (“Member Content”), you confirm that:

  1. you own the Member Content or have all necessary rights, licences, permissions and consents required to use and publish it on Conneq;
  2. the Member Content is accurate and not misleading, to the best of your knowledge;
  3. the Member Content complies with all applicable laws and regulations;
  4. the Member Content does not:
    1. contain anything that is defamatory, obscene, threatening, abusive, hateful, discriminatory or otherwise unlawful;
    2. breach any legal duty owed to another person, including any contractual, confidentiality or privacy obligation;
    3. infringe the intellectual property rights, privacy rights or other rights of another person or organisation;
    4. contain fraudulent, deceptive or deliberately misleading information; or

If you advertise a horse, animal, item, vehicle, service or other opportunity on Conneq, you confirm that:

  1. the information provided in your listing is accurate and complete to the best of your knowledge;
  2. you are legally entitled to advertise and, where applicable, sell or provide the relevant horse, animal, goods, vehicle, service or other opportunity;
  3. the transaction you are proposing is lawful;
  4. any goods or items advertised are not counterfeit, stolen or otherwise unlawfully obtained; and
  5. you have the right to use any photographs, videos or other media included in your listing.

You must not use photographs, videos, descriptions or other material belonging to another member or a third party unless you have permission or another lawful basis to use them.

You are responsible for keeping your listings accurate and up to date. If an item has been sold, withdrawn, reserved, is no longer available, or the relevant information has materially changed, you should update or remove the listing promptly.

8. Transactions Between Members

Any sale, purchase, loan, lease, share, livery arrangement, service agreement or other transaction between members is solely between those members. Conneq is not a party to the transaction.

Members are responsible for carrying out their own due diligence before entering into an arrangement with another member.

Any dispute arising from a transaction between members should be addressed between the members concerned.

Where you have a claim or dispute with another member arising from a transaction or communication on Conneq, you agree to pursue that claim directly against the other member.

9. Messaging

Conneq provides in-platform messaging to allow members to communicate with one another.

Messages must be used responsibly and only for legitimate purposes connected with Conneq. You must not use messaging to:

10. Privacy and Personal Data

We take the protection of members' personal information seriously. We process personal data in accordance with applicable data protection legislation, including the UK General Data Protection Regulation and the Data Protection Act 2018, as applicable.

Our separate Privacy Notice (set out below) explains how we collect, use, store and protect personal data.

Where you provide personal information belonging to another person, such as a referee's name and email address, you must ensure that you are entitled to provide that information to Conneq.

You must not use personal information obtained through Conneq to create unauthorised databases, send unsolicited marketing, harass members, scrape information or otherwise misuse another person's information.

Your rights in relation to personal data are explained in our Privacy Notice. If you have concerns about our handling of your personal data, you may contact us. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office where applicable.

11. Your Content

You retain ownership of the content you submit to Conneq, including photographs, videos, descriptions, advertisements, messages and other material (“Your Content”).

By submitting Your Content, you grant Conneq a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, display, format, adapt and otherwise use Your Content where reasonably necessary to operate, maintain, improve, secure and promote Conneq. This licence does not transfer ownership of Your Content to Conneq.

You confirm that:

You must not upload photographs, text or other material belonging to another person unless you have permission or another lawful basis to use it. Where Your Content includes a photograph taken by someone else — for example a professional photographer — you confirm that you have their permission to use it on Conneq. We may remove content that becomes the subject of a genuine rights dispute.

We may remove or restrict access to Your Content where we reasonably believe it breaches these Terms, infringes another person's rights, is unlawful, misleading or creates a risk to Conneq or its members. If you believe content infringes your intellectual property rights, please report it as set out in Section 15 (Reporting Concerns).

13. Prohibited Activities

You must not use Conneq to:

We may take any reasonable action we consider necessary to protect Conneq and its members from prohibited activity.

Conneq is intended to be a trusted community. Members must communicate honestly and respectfully. You must not use Conneq to:

We may investigate reported breaches and take appropriate action, including removing content, suspending accounts or terminating membership.

14. Reporting Concerns

If you believe that a listing, message, member or other content breaches these Terms, infringes your rights or creates a safety, legal or other serious concern, you should report it to us at contact@conneqce.co.uk.

Where appropriate, please provide enough information for us to identify the relevant account, listing or content and understand the concern.

We may investigate reports at our discretion and may take action where appropriate. We do not guarantee that every report will result in action or that we will disclose the outcome of an investigation.

15. Moderation and Account Suspension

We reserve the right to remove or restrict content and accounts where reasonably necessary to operate and protect Conneq.

We may suspend or terminate membership if we reasonably believe that:

Where appropriate, we may give the member an opportunity to resolve the issue before taking action. Nothing in this section prevents us from taking immediate action where reasonably necessary.

17. Availability of Conneq

Conneq site may be changed, interrupted, suspended or withdrawn from time to time. We do not guarantee that:

We may modify, suspend or discontinue any part of Conneq where reasonably necessary.

We will not be liable for any failure or delay in providing Conneq caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including hosting or internet outages, power failures, industrial action or other similar events.

18. Third-Party Services and Links

Conneq may contain links to or integrations with third-party websites, services or applications. Those third parties operate independently from Conneq and may have their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, security, content or practices of third-party services unless applicable law provides otherwise.

19. Liability

We will under no circumstances whatsoever be liable to you, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), breach of statutory duty, or otherwise, arising under or in connection with these Terms for:

We will not be liable to you for any loss or damage, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), breach of statutory duty, or otherwise, even if foreseeable, arising from or in connection with:

We assume no responsibility for the content of any third-party website linked from Conneq. Such links are not an endorsement, and we will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of them.

You remain solely responsible for compliance with your own legal duties and obligations, including in respect of any horse, goods or services you sell, buy or supply through Conneq.
